Applause is an elegant evening where celebration meets purpose. As New Avenues to Independence’s annual fundraiser, the event brings together Northeast Ohio’s leaders, advocates, & supporters at the Cleveland History Center for a night of inspiration, connection, & meaningful impact.

From powerful stories to memorable experiences, Applause celebrates the strength and achievements of those we serve while helping fund programs that expand opportunities and independence for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

How Can I Support Applause?

You can support Applause as a sponsor, attendee, and/or donor. No matter the option you choose, you will make an incredible difference in the lives of the hundreds of individuals we serve. Either way, we hope that you join us as we embark on this dazzling evening together. 

Attend Applause

Tickets for Applause are $150 per person. Your ticket unlocks an extravagant evening of captivating stories, free carousel rides, and lively tunes perfect for dancing the night away. You can also enjoy a wine pull, silent auction, and enter for the chance to win raffle baskets. Between the fun, savor a delicious plated dinner and grab drinks from the open bar with fellow community members. 

Donate to Applause

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are funded through donations, grants, and government funding. You can also support Applause by making in-kind donations for our wine pull, silent auction, and raffle. Please email Communications@NewAvenues.net with any questions. 

Sponsor Applause

New Avenues to Independence offers five sponsorship levels for Applause at the Cleveland History Center. The details of each sponsorship level are outlined in our sponsorship packet and on the Applause website. The deadline for sponsorships to be included in printed materials is September 30. ​What does Applause support?

Proceeds support New Avenues to Independence homes, community programs, and summer camp for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

When & where is Applause?

Friday, October 23, 2026, 6:00–10:00 PM at the Cleveland History Center, 10825 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106

What time do doors open, and when does the program start?

Doors open at 6:00 PM; the program begins at 6:40 PM.

​​

What is the dress code?

Black tie optional.

​

Is parking available?

Yes, there is parking off Magnolia Road. The parking lot is at the rear entrance of the Cleveland History Center. Please be aware that the Natural History Museum parking garage locks before the event concludes.

Can I purchase a table? 

Yes, tables consist of 8-10 guests. Purchase 8-10 tickets to become a Table Sponsor!​

Are sponsorships still available?

Yes, sponsorship levels and benefits are listed above and on our sponsorship website. Sponsors receive recognition in the program, reserved tables, social media, and more. ​

Donations​

What if I can’t attend?

Donations can be made online.​

​

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes, all donations (minus the value of services rendered at the event) are tax-deductible.​

What payment methods are accepted?

Credit cards and checks made out to New Avenues to Independence.

Auctions & Activities

​How do I bid in the auction?

You can bid online up to the day of the event or in person during the event.

​What other activities are there?

  • Wine Pull – $25 per bottle (cash preferred).

Food & Drinks​

Is dinner included?

Yes, dinner, dessert, and drinks are included.

​Are dietary options available?

Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are available.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. The Cleveland History Center is fully accessible, including accessible carousel rides.
