On Saturday, June 13th, over 60 staff and individuals served participated in Nature’s Bin Annual Neighborhood Walk/Run. Other participants include Cornucopia and The Arc of Greater Cleveland for what has become a tradition in the city of Lakewood. These agencies come together because they have similar missions and the common goal of bringing communities together.

Everyone participated on a team, with unique names and costumes. Awards were given for the Best Team Name, Most Team Spirit, and Best Costume. After returning from the walk/run, participants enjoyed a healthy breakfast provided by Nature’s Bin and collected goodies from samples.

Twenty-two volunteers from Journey Church gave their time this year. These enthusiastic volunteers directed runners and walked alongside some of the individuals with disabilities participating in the walk.

All proceeds from this annual event go towards supporting people with disabilities and will make a difference in the lives of people who are served by these non-profit organizations.
