CreateAbility: Exploring Ave. ART on display this fall

CreateAbility displayed at three libraries this fall with a total of seventy-eight people attending these receptions, including some of the artists who created the artwork. The last display at Cleveland Heights Public Library will be up for viewing until the end of November. These artists, who participate in New Avenues Art Therapy program, created art using materials recycled at Buckeye Industries including cardboard, plastics, paper and aluminum.

This project, made possible through generous funding from the
Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation, was designed to create conversations about the ability of artists with disabilities to create art and impact our culture. We hope this project expanded awareness in the general community of the talent and skills of men and women with disabilities.

Please join the conversation at #CreateAbility2015 on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. The final exhibit continues throughout the entire month of November at the Cleveland Heights Public Library. Don’t miss this fun and unique exhibit!

We want to thank everyone who participated in and helped to create these amazing exhibits!
