In 1989, New Avenues purchased a home in University Heights and began
renovating it. In 1990, we opened the first Group Home for MR/DD in
University Heights. Eight men from Main Campus moved into this
highly acclaimed home. Today it remains home to eight gentleman with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities.
